Beautiful lighting and lovely scene. I also like the angle at which you shot this. Really nice composition. A very nice shot, Sam!
Posted by Abe at July 10, 2005 02:58 AMI just love the color of the water in this snap. Nice one.
Posted by Srijith at July 10, 2005 03:41 AMOh to be young again, taking photos in the middle of the night, early in the morning and as the sun slowly sets. To be in love with the beauty that surrounds us. Stay with what you love don't go astray.
Posted by Gary Bailey at July 10, 2005 03:59 AMvery nice shot...

beautiful marina, beautiful photo :)
Posted by Karola at July 10, 2005 07:20 AMVery good colour and reflection.
Posted by Ioannis at July 10, 2005 08:10 AMYou sure do find some of the best spots for photography. And I really like boats! Wonderful work, Sam.
Posted by Nate at July 10, 2005 08:12 AMOh my!!! ... Saying it's a beautiful image just doesn't seem to cut it. The warm yellowy-orange colours and the silhouetted masts ... Just another great shot Sam.
Posted by LynnR at July 10, 2005 08:44 AMGreat shot that. I would have liked the last boat on the left cropped, otherwise it's almost perfect. :)
Posted by Sid Carter at July 10, 2005 08:54 AMa beautiful serene photograph
but also a true and haunting scene
Does it not also speak of a stripped forest somewhere, translated in amassed masts and masters of wealth - reflected in the backdrop and bleeding atmosphere, in both air and water, conveying the silent affect mankinds misplaced pride is having on our environment?
If a photo is worth a thousand words...
Your photos convey a thousand words for a thousand different reasons for a thousand different people Sam
and therein resides the beauty of your art
One comment.... Wow...

Finally a fantastic shot!!!
Lovely. I love boats and I love sunsets, so this picture is obviously appealing to me. I think the masts of the sailboats against the different shades of sunset is really nice.
Posted by Laurie at July 10, 2005 10:42 AMwow... I love the colours reflected in the water. This picture is so serene... makes me want to visit bronte. Great job as always!
Posted by digital di at July 10, 2005 11:17 AMGorgeous!!!! What kind of workflow did you do for this pic, Sam?

Posted by Jennifer at July 10, 2005 01:31 PMoakville!!!!! r they nuts?
The colors are absolutely beautiful reflected into the water. Very lovely capture.

i linked your site to my blog. i hope u dont mind.
I love the balance in this picture - especially vertically the way the colours pan out, ascending into a clear light blue above and decending into a deep aqua below. The unbalance caused by the perspective at the right draws the eye in and gives nice depth to the photo.
I hope you take this as a compliment (which is how I mean it) but you should see about submitting some of these images as desktop images for the new Microsoft Windows OS. They strike me as exactly the kind of photos Microsoft would go for and I think anyone would be delighted to have them decorating their desktop!
Posted by Cyparissus at July 10, 2005 06:10 PMI don't know about that comment about you being back! I was going to just say that I feel like you're not capable of taking a bad shot. I've loved all your work since I discovered your site, keep up the good work!

hi
i am from pakistan and i am a big fan of ur photography... i checked out some other photoblogs too but urs is the best, really... there was such an "interest value" in the photo with a simple blue background and a mop in front...
if it possible, can u plz tell me this, i am newbie photographer too
1. changing the ISO setting in my handheld digital camera has no noticeable effect on the results... why is that? I read in a photography book how a certain ISO film brings out really rich blue skies and green trees
thanks
