Simple, if it's hot, cool down. they teach us so much if only we would listen.

Blimey that was profound ;0)

Fabulous!
Another really great shot, thank you Sam.
I have been enjoying scrolling up and down, pausing at what appeared to be appropriate places; to appreciate the several great compositions contained in this one image. In each I find fabulous colour, textures and your usual splendid spatial divisions and proportions.
On another really hot day it is nice to just sit staring at my monitor and listening to the water splashing. Thanks for sharing.

Hot hot!!! I'm refreshing with this shot!

I think that this is a great image, except that I feel it needs either some cropping or blurring of the background.
An interesting thread on shooting kids you don't know, on the DP Review forums:

Absolutely fabulous -- the detail on this is incredible (as always) :)

LOL very funny pic, a pity there wasn't much colour to compliment the scene

LMFAO! There is nothing like this is there? This kid is experiencing the joys sweet abandonment. Look at his face. The water draws you to it and then wham. He takes his medicine and enjoys it too.

One of the best I have seen today.

Thanks for the shot!

Nice moment - do you have other frames, maybe something a little tighter? I can see this being an entirely different image if the DOF was shallow and the crop was on the kid... I remember this fountain from the Rock-Paper-Scissors Championships last year...

You have a great eye - always fun to see your picture of the day

so hot... but I LOVE IT! .. .it's been a while since we've had some good beach weather!

I wish I was that kid right now.

Although the kid in red looks like he's about to spring a leak himself... where's the washroom!

:P

How cute!! I love the little boy standing in the water! Thanks for capturing the childish nature to bring us all a smile.

Hey Sam! :-D
I was in the same place a couple of weeks ago. Here's my post for that day:
http://www.los-indios-bravos.com/codexlagman/codexlagman_045.html

The design of the Dundas Square has elicited mixed reviews: some say it lacks inspiration, some really like it. I myself have mixed feelings about it, but I do like the fountains. I've read that they actually make sure the water is really clean so it's safe for the kids.

Cheers man, take care. José :-)

Fantastic! This must be the best photo I have ever seen (up there with your shot from yesterday). Have you considered submitting these to National Geographic? Your photography is out of this world!

no, fountain pictures are all the WAVE... HA! ah HA ha ha... oh...yes, that's right.

(would have been better if we were talking about ocean pictures or something like that but still... heh... yes)

It's a good thing Tom Cruise wasn't walking there. :^)

Fun shot - great capture! I really like the burst of water and how it gleams. The business created by the guy walking in the background-right adds a neat touch to the foto.

I think this shot could use some cropping, but not bad :)

Wow! The expression on the little boys face and the action from the waterfall! Amazing photo!
