Love how the photograph relays the way the building towers over you. I think the bikes add scale.

Love it - This is what Toronto used to look like - It's an amzazing part of history that has been kept.

Good work - Good shot

Thank you for your photoblog. I so greatly enjoy the images you present. I am so moved again by this image. The building looks so utterly majestic and grand in the way you have been able to capture it. I have learned alot from how you take photographs, and while I still have much to learn, please know that I appreciate your work greatly.

If you have interest, please glance at my photoblog. I would greatly appreciate your comments and suggestions.

Wow that sure is a lot of windows. I like the colors in this one with the bricks and the reflection in the glass.

wow...that's a lot of windows.
i love the contrast between the orange bricks and the blue sky reflected in the glass.

i love the photographs. they bring such beauty to a city that i usually only think of as all buildings and cars and just dirtiness.

Other than the fact that the pic is slightly on an angle, this shot caught my attention right off the bat. The detail, the red and blues, the reflections off the windows. Nicely done.

This one is definitely one of my favourites from over the last few days. Nice.

Nice image, but for me, a little too busy. My eye doesn't know what to focus on. I love the colours though.

I've heard that eastern Canada is suffering from a heat wave. So far it does not seem to show in your pictures. I'd be really curious to see how you'd photograph a heat wave.

Any idea what type of buildings they are? Business or residences, or maybe residences over shops?

This photograph reminds me of a surrealist Magritte painting... fine work.

those bike / windows shot are nice, but a bit boring

something more original would be welcome

So I can take this as a historical item with a a very interesting if boring facade, but to me it is also an example of depressing old stuff. I haven't been along there for 20 some years but it always depressed me passing this place. I do wonder what it is currently used for.

The extreme red brick and odd light blue trim does make it snap the eyes.

Catch it quick before it falls over!

Hey! I work in that building! Nice shot.

Posted by Dan at June 27, 2005 10:48 AM

my bro works a couple of buildings east of that one!

Thats an amazing lens, i need to get me one of those

Interesting perspective -- seems like the building is leaning back about 15 degrees. I like the color of the brick and the bikes are fun in this shot as well. I am familiar with the distortion at the wide 18mm focal length, and it works for this shot.
