Hello!

A very interesting image!

What I find different from much of the other work of yours I have observed, is that the quality of the colors and the quality of the image itself have a sort of old-school "50's" style to them. The hue of the grass has an older 50's film style color to it as does the color of the sky.

As always, wonderful work!

i get to comment first! in a very basic photography-way, there is nice foreground, midground, and background in this picture. I APPROVE!

So let me get this straight --- you *steal* public bike racks as well as vandalize public property?

Seriously, this whole project is not cool. It's a shame you haven't gotten the police to take you seriously. I mean, all the evidence they need is on this photo blog...

If some of you could just post the location of your bikes, I would be happy to paint it while you're not there, and call myself an artist.

this is a boring photo. a lot of the photos here have been boring lately- they seem like pictures you'd skip over when youre going through a tourists vacation photos. and im with scott up there, the whole "art project" seems wrong to me. why not give the abandoned bikes to someone who needs or wants them? spray painting bikes is a lame form of art, if you can even call it art (more like vandalism to me), and its a waste of a bike. the whole project would be shut down if it took place in the states.

I like it in an off key sort of way.

Well it may be mundane but the bike stand reminds me of many I've seen where the owner was ripped off for lack of a proper locking system or leaving it just a bit too long in an area of thieves.

A bike how to, eh? How to rip it off? Chain looks rather rusty.

And yes. That red head sure has one hey of a unicorn horn.

Did you get friendly with the ladies?

I don't know why some of the people posting here are so up tight about spray painting abandoned bikes. They look great instead of dilapitated and rusting. As one post says "the whole project would be shut down if it took place in the states." That's becuase the States looks like a theological dictatorship these days. Thank goodness in Canada a little mischeif (and a touch of flair to the rather grey and boring streetscape) won't land you in jail.

The police have stopped the peple doing Pedals and Paint (I read that on a blog last year) and laughed it off. They have more important things to look after instead of putting creative types behind bars.

when i first saw this i was like, hah, thats a bike stand?

then i noticed the bike(ish) thing on the post.

that looks like a very interesting bike to ride...

In Soviet Russia, bike rides YOU.

I like the sky color and gradient - very nice.

The guy who is upset about the bike thing needs a chill pill. I'm not so sure there is a "theological dictatorship" in the USA, as one unhappy American (who should probably leave) suggests, but I do think it's true that this kind of thing is more readily accepted in Canada than in the US.

And finally it is interesting to me that those who find your photos "boring lately" continue to return day after day and comment. It is also interesting....mmmm, ok, I will be nice. :-)
