Excellent composition in this photograph. I recently bought at Canon 350D (XT) and have started to take my photography further. I wonder if I should attempt making a photoblog-like thing as well. In any case, thanks for all the wonderful pictures. I visit every day.

I absolutely love this photo. Upon looking at it I find it reminiscent of my childhood in the city, along with my hopes, dreams, and aspirations I then had for the future. The city lights, highways, and dead bushes are my favorite.

Wonderful shot, Sam. I like the reflections in the water and the sky color. The gradient is also very nice. This is a very creative composition!

BTW, it dawned on me after I commented about you using a high aperature in a foto the other day (red wagon) - I am guessing low light, like this photo, was your reason for that. Speaking of which, the detail extends very deep into the background, too. Nice job!

Sky color fantastic Sam. Just the top half of this shot is terrific, and of course the bottom half is great too.

A lovely shot, showing the beauty of ordinary things.

I have to buy a larger monitor just for your site. Your eye for composition is amazing. Okay enough of the brown-nosing. Have a great one!

Bring a tripod and get some depth of field! Like it though.

the reflection is pretty.

I love the reflection in the water. . .there is such a difference between the sky, and the reflection of the sky.

It's unbelievable how you made that section of the city look so enchantingly attractive.

First I note another Hugh posting here so now I've got to use my whole name to not be confused.

I've been noticing the extreme color sense of the digital cameras - not quite what film would give you - and I quite like it for some things, like this shot. I think perhaps it is that unusual color balance that puts the zing in it.

And though I've not been in Toronto where I would have come near this scene for 38 years I instantly felt it was the Gardner X - strange but useful highway.

that will be an amazing poster. i love your site.

my perspective in this snap is the SKY as representing those events that happen around us, the HIGHWAY mixmaster is our vehicular body, the WATER and reflection is how we perceive deep within our soles the sky and highway and penetration of life into our bodies. can you see that? very well balanced indeed!

I might have a tip for you on how to prevent malicious use of your comment function: Try just having the "preview" button with the submission form rather than preview & imediate post. Most bots are not (yet) able to deal with having to first preview a post, and therefore can't submit any commentspam any more. This easy trick works for my blog, so chances are it might work for yours, too.
Nice Photos btw. :)
