awesome picture :) i have to ask, is this elevated road related to your earlier picture of a few days ago?
Posted by david at May 12, 2005 01:11 AMI love how the streetlamps look like stars, they're beautiful. . .
Posted by myla at May 12, 2005 01:34 AMLove the contrast and eire night look.
Lights are the best part though! Awesome capture, Sam.
Posted by Ryan Rahn at May 12, 2005 01:44 AMI really like this! Great long-shutter streaking lights and starburts. Wonderful sky, too! I really enjoy this composition. You are the best, Sam!
Posted by Abe at May 12, 2005 02:08 AMthats a nice result for slow shutter speed!
Posted by Aashish Vishnoi at May 12, 2005 02:13 AMWow! Great mixture of lights.
Posted by Edwinek at May 12, 2005 02:29 AMWow Sam great shot. What aperture did you use? Great composition. Maybe its just me I would crop a little bit of the left side.
Posted by Mack Bari at May 12, 2005 02:43 AMGenerally I don't like this kind of pictures... but here I can find a an agreable contrast between warm light and cold sky... an interesting urban landscape...
Posted by sandro at May 12, 2005 03:27 AMgreat pictures.

Posted by nicolas at May 12, 2005 03:31 AMNow we're talking! Cool shot...
Posted by Adam at May 12, 2005 03:32 AMVery cool. I like the color of the sky and those streaks are brilliant.
Posted by Darren at May 12, 2005 08:17 AMnice light. shot well at dusk. would've been nice to have a person in the foreground to really "make" the shot. but decent shot anyways.

Posted by dave at May 12, 2005 10:01 AMDavid - if you mean the photos of those pillars, this photo is related. Those pillars from a few days ago remained from a portion of this elevated road, the Gardiner Expressway, which was dismantled (i think slightly to the east of where this was taken). Awesome photo - i've not commented before but I've been enjoying them for months. Thanks.
Posted by Josh at May 12, 2005 10:25 AMhey....what a wonderful shot of one of the ugliest parts of our city. to find beauty under the gardiner expressway is something special.
Posted by evan at May 12, 2005 11:55 AMThat is a great shot. You can't even see the vehicle creating the streaking lights. Is it a car, motorcycle, comming or going? Always a great job framing urban beauty.

Posted by Brian Nicholson at May 12, 2005 12:05 PMNice tight color palette. The parking lights match the sunlight on the concrete.
Really Nice.
Posted by Erik at May 12, 2005 01:24 PMReally great shot. As others have commented, the long blur on that front set of lights is really delightful, and the colors are beautiful. Just found your site today. What a great first shot to see.
Posted by joel at May 12, 2005 02:58 PMAwsome picture. Good colours.
Posted by Raffi at May 12, 2005 05:03 PMa moment in time that is ultra-multisensory: see the energy and feel the wind whip past from that fly-by source...
Posted by dogstone at May 12, 2005 05:27 PMI like "invisible car" shots. This is no exception. Great job.
Posted by Matt at May 12, 2005 05:47 PMAWESOME SHOT! Love the effects you added.
Posted by Ayan at May 12, 2005 08:40 PMThe lines in this shot are so cool. I love the effect of the long exposure with the streaked lights. I also like the way it lightened the sky. The blues are incredible. I love this art.
Posted by bryanj at May 12, 2005 09:29 PMwow now i think this is another good photo for a desktop!!!
Posted by Hugh at May 13, 2005 12:48 AMuh...big city..won't appreciate it until it's gone from your reality
Posted by Olga at June 2, 2005 01:59 AMHave you been watching the movie "Crash" directed by David Croneburg before you took this picture? Great movie and great picture.
Posted by Chicken Panang at September 22, 2005 12:29 AM Hi Everybody!
All of the recent news stories of the crash of the economy and loss of jobs has been driving most americans nuts!
I began searching on line for a way to get help and found that the government gives free grants.
What I would like to know is.... do any of you know what website I can find free grant application at?
Thank You!
