Posted by djam at May 11, 2005 04:28 AMso glad i', the first one to post
while listening to meditation from thais by j.massenet, this picture looks very very sentimental to me...
i like the fact that you post your vertical pictures in large resolution. its inspired me to do the same, and you can see many similar photos on my website.
Posted by jesse at May 11, 2005 06:08 AMI find todays photo depressing for some reason. It reminds me of Jane Ayre and Wuthering Heights.
Posted by Johnkan at May 11, 2005 08:28 AMI really like the look of this one. At first glance, it looks like a B&W image, but then you see a bit of color. Very nice and an inspiration for my own photo blog when I get it up.

Posted by ez e at May 11, 2005 09:47 AMInteresting contrast here. I also like the glow of the sun, it is almost depressing but there is hope.
Nice image.
Posted by Erik V. Pohovich at May 11, 2005 12:12 PMThe contrast's really nice.
The sun illuminates the sky with a rather uniform lighting and the outline of the tree can be captured.
This pic is great! :D
Posted by Jeff at May 11, 2005 12:44 PMThe brown air on Monday morning did contribute to a lovely sunrise. Ironic, isn't it?
Posted by Nancy at May 11, 2005 12:53 PMNice silhouette.
Posted by .:pvav.photoblog:. at May 11, 2005 12:55 PMThe contrast is great here. The smog-hidden sun looks much like the sun in Phoenix, AZ on most days.
Posted by Abe at May 11, 2005 01:34 PMColor of BW? It looks like color, but it is hard to be 100% sure. Nice shot.

Smog is a word created by combining 'Smoke' and 'Fog'
sun through smog
much like today's ontario provincial budget
(which was also at Queen's Park, and who's gonna wanna go and photoblog a budget release, heh heh)
;-)
Posted by HiMY SYeD at May 11, 2005 07:35 PMThis photo has potential. I quite like the exposure -- though the composition is simple the exposure adds the element of interest here. One small pointer: perhaps the composition would benefit from a slight crop off the bottom? I feel like the strip of black offsets the balance here. Other than that, though, 's pretty good.
Posted by Andy Cogbill at May 11, 2005 07:35 PMvery moody~I love this kind of feeling
