Self portrait?

I love these morning after the night before shots. Superb surrounding to the bottle.

A self-portrait in the bottle... I can't say if I like or not the yellow flower... Maybe... my feelings is a picture cutted in two parts...

I like the colors. It's really nice how you captured the texture of the grass.

Found a dozen in my yard one morning. Taking pictures was the furthest thing from my mind.

I thought Toronto was a clean city compared to cities south of your border, but I guess you have littering as well.

Hehehe... someone had a good time. :-)

Posted by José at May 9, 2005 11:03 AM

I LOVE IT!!!

Posted by Leslie at May 9, 2005 11:49 AM

In fact littering is so rare here that when we do come across some, it ends up on a weblog!!

Just kidding, this city is a dump.

that looks like it was a nice picnic.

quelle photo horrible !

mon dieu... vous avez fait mieux par le passé... la qualité des photos posées récemment me déçoit

Lord I feel old. Yonge and Eglinton is midtown Toronto? For me it's still Yonge and Bloor. I live near Eglinton and Bayview. Please don't tell me I'm downtown. :-(

Don't drink and drive.
YOu might hit a bump and spill your drink.

for a moment there I thought I saw a four leaf clover in the upper left.

I think Sam is playing a joke on us... he's putting up a slightly worse picture everyday to see how many of us consistently compliment these terrible photos. C'mon Sam, I know you're busy with Contact happening right after PubliCity, but the last group of shots don't cut it... show us why you're really #2 on photoblogs.org.

The aqua coloring in the bottle is really nice. The grass and dandelions look so natural!

Posted by Abe at May 9, 2005 11:50 PM

If you found a sealed bottle laying there and the wine was worth something it would be a good shot. As it is now, it's just garbage and weeds.

Posted by Kevin at May 10, 2005 12:07 AM

a social commentary? to some of us: dandelions are weeds, and to some of us : wino's are bums...or the very least litters ... ??
otherwise, i tend agree with others on why such a NON SAM photo.

Posted by dave at May 10, 2005 09:12 AM

Eglinton is only mid-town for people who live north of the 401.

Otherwise it is definately Uptown.

Posted by Michael at May 10, 2005 12:17 PM

I really like the color on this photo.

Okay. I read one comment saying that this was a good picture and scrolled through the rest in pain.

Is anybody else finding that photoblogs are now about the photographer and not the images? This is NOT a good image, yet people praise it because this guy won Top Canadian Photoblog. People should start focusing on the images again...

Posted by skauce at May 10, 2005 07:34 PM

I like this photo very much. I like the dandelions (the yellow flower will later turn into ghaasedak! I like to think about it.)

Posted by Soheila at May 11, 2005 01:52 AM

Is that a Sam leprechaun in this bottle? The beauty is in the details.

Posted by Jasmine at May 11, 2005 07:28 AM

this is crap people ...the maker of this photo MUST have just finished the bottle...DUH

Posted by dave at May 11, 2005 11:47 AM

I think this photo works on so many levels. Interesting connotations... littering and the relationship to the 'weeds of society'. Or perhaps alcoholism and the weeds of society. Or perhaps... alcohol and weed... a great party? lol Even the colour conrast is great. I love this picture, although it seems very simple... their's lots to analyze. Good work
