Lovely typography, beautiful vines (starting to bud, yay!!), interesting photograph. Nature has her way with words!

Thanks, Sam!

Hey it's not fair, I'm this close to finishing a photography project called YYZ/PAR/TEH [teh for Tehran]... perhaps it's the kind of idea you come up with by spending too many hours staring at your ticket!

Really really cool photo. Nice find! The texture of the ivy against the letters against the white brick is just awesome.

amazing shot, the shadows are fabulous and the ivy couldn't have covered the wall any better if it had been planned

Sam, I love how you can capture a detail of urban landscape so artistically. I look at your photos everyday and they are beautiful. Thanks for the inspiration. :)

all I can say after watching your photos is that they're beaufiful:)

The ivy and the words form an interesting pattern.

Nice shot! ;)

And the spring! is coming with these red flowers in the white sunny wall.

Posted by effat at May 5, 2005 10:55 AM

I really like how the red stands out not too much but just right! Nice shot!

Great! How did you find those images ... : )
graph/ sign ... even the words are great as a background.

A few days ago I got my new 3.2 Megapixel Canon IXUS 30 and made first fotos with the new cam:

Nice shot. And thanks for explaining the title :-)

That is an awesome shot! What did the entire wall say? I love white on white - I wish it was used more in commerical buildings. :)

FYI - I am not an expert on all of Paris' airports, but Charles de Gaulle is CDG.

I love the lighting and the hue. Very soft and rich. This is a very pleasing foto to the eye. Nice job as always!

Great picture, good crop job as well... if it wasn't cropped I guess you really are a professional photographer Sam ;)

Visual balance is very good as well, I should start commenting on the ones I don't like so you can actually improve instead of just flattery of what you can do already... cheers.

Tous les jours, je regarde juste pour voir.
Puis, je vois.
Y a quelqu'un qui fait la même chose ici,
à Montréal ?

Posted by caroline at May 5, 2005 08:17 PM

What to the words on the wall say?

Posted by Kevin at May 5, 2005 09:09 PM

You have an unbelieveable eye for the beauty in every day life. I get so tired of looking at photos from people trying so hard to make a statement. It is nice to find someone who looks and actually sees.

Posted by Marygrace Stevens at May 5, 2005 10:06 PM

what a find! very cool.

Posted by Helen at May 6, 2005 10:35 AM

yeah CDG is the main airport in Paris...just had a look though and their is also a PAR which is Paris De Gaulle, which i've never ever heard of and I've flown to Paris a good few times but only ever to ORY, BVA or CDG. Anyway I guess what I'm saying is CDG is deffo the main international airport, much like you'd think of YYZ for here not YTZ... god i'm a nerd, sorry about that.

you've combined several of *my* favorites...typography, black & white, botany and texture...fab-u-lous! and red being my favorite colour..sigh. this one made me happy!

you have inspired me, and i look much more deeply into my surroundings. keeps one busy. i hope to be this good.

I missed this wall on my trip to Toronto but it looks like it says "graphic design." Is this a design studio, museum, college...?

Posted by Kevin at May 10, 2005 12:10 AM

i perused your photographs in YYZ gate B7 waiting to fly home to North Carolina. A random image search turned me on to your photoblog - I am astounded! Thank you for beautiful images - this one appealed to me so much I had to let you know your work is very successful! (I am an architectural sign designer in Toronto for business - no wonder this one caught my fancy...)
