Nice pic. Is the DOF really that shallow at 55mm/7.1 or have you enhanced it in post?

Happy 1200th favorite.

Yellow-red-thingy? I like they way you name your pics. Anyway, I really like this one. I inverted it. It is beautiful in the negative format.

Beautiful colors. Great subject and detail.
Bokeh could be better; the backgorund is a little distracting, but I still think it's very nice.

Do you have any idea what kind of tree that is? I don't believe I've ever seen one like it.

Yea, the weather has been quite up and down recently. It's great to notice color in the midst of the inconsistencies.

Nicely captured and beautiful colors!

It's either Acer japonicum or Acer platanoides var. 'Crimson King'.

That is it's either a form of Japanese Maple or Norway Maple.

This picture is exquisite. Very beautifully captured.

nice and clear. i like the colors and how the stuff in the front is clear and focuses and the background is blurry. it enhances the subject a lot. awesome shot!!!!

You and Dave(chromasia) have swayed me from Nikon- looks like I may be headed for a 350D. Thanks for the pictures/smiles/inspiration/wonder/amusement/time

You can tell from this picture, the Bokeh generated by this lens is ... (saying politely) ordinary ;-( I guess once you see the out of focus rendering generated by a nice 50 f/1.4 you can't go back ;-)

Sam, such shallow DoF at 55mm / f7.1 is amazing! Is that really possible?
