Really nice. Love the technique that you've used :))

nice one.. though i think if u would've taken even lower shutter speed, then the blur would've have come better ...

Great perspective and motion. The grey sky and the oranges and blues contrast very well. So creative! Great photo!

I like to idea of leaning against an object. Great picture. I liked the sky and those cables that makes me feel like there's a sort of a "roof" above your head.

I log'd in as part of my morning ritual, and lo and behold I see a great shot... and wait... is that my condo building in the background?!I hope one day I can run into you on the street and see you in action ;) Keep fighting the good fight Sam.

Wow I love this picture. Your best in a while. Good call.

your composition here is very creative.

Leaning on a phone stand - everything a little blurry and lopsided. You really got the feeling for Church and Dundas!

i love the way the telephone wires spread out like a web... beautiful stuff

Posted by sinstone at April 27, 2005 11:19 AM

I love the juxtaposition of the two items in this image. The one 'free' spinning sign, and the other, the telephone pole, tied down, unmovable.

Great photo!!

I love coming here everyday and seeing your work. Absolutely fantastic.

I like the move and the composition. But I think the best part is the orange triangle you,ve made.

Posted by Telli at April 27, 2005 11:59 AM

awesome!

Posted by blu at April 27, 2005 12:46 PM

A.S. took the words right out of my mouth about the pleasure of the juxtaposition of these two objects. that pole can either be the calm in the storm of constant movement or the constant movement can be the calm in the storm of total immobileness.

One of my favorite things to do when I need some downtime is to go to Google's Image search, type in a word, and see what I get. Today, I typed "leaf" and got your photo from July 29, 2004. WOW! Google has serious competition, little could they have known.... Thank you for sharing your beauty.

Awesome. One of my recent favs here.

Great picture, and the gas prices are increasing as fast as the sign is going.

i love the wires spreading out in all directions. this is such a unique shot... love it!

The pictures and the captions that accompany them are excellent. An excellent presentation and representation of visions I should say. Keep up the good work and keep going. With best regards...

This makes me think of the song "I Promise You Walls" by the artist Shiny Toy Guns... off balance, serene, and still in motion. The wires draw your eye around the picture. Nicely done!

average

i don't understand why everybody seem enthusiastic...??
sure the pic is nice, but not THAT nice

you made much better shots

Posted by Rémy at April 28, 2005 06:38 AM

Feh - "much better shots" - haven't seen a crappy one yet. :) Maybe it's because he's captured the beauty in those wires - those wires on the streetcorners that remind me of T.O. Anyway, thanks for this wonderful blog; I turn to it whenever I need a shot of my hometown (I'm in SF Bay now). Everyday you capture the beauty in my city, and I thank you for it. It makes the transition to new surroundings just a little bit easier. Keep on capturing the world in the stunning, evocative way you do.

Wow, love the spin - great steady hands to keep yourselve from blurring everything else. Like it.

Posted by JamesK at April 28, 2005 02:46 PM

i envy you, you are gifted with some steady hands! i wonder how low you could go if you are using a stabilizer =)
