I like more the original version.... :-)

Bye!

With all do respect, Sam, I think that the T.O. smog is getting to you! Original nonetheless.

cool effect, very eerie. looks like they are reaching out to grab something, but their effort is futile, as darkness is the only thing there to grab.

Posted by Jon Clark at April 12, 2005 02:27 AM

I like the original better.

Posted by chogno at April 12, 2005 03:07 AM

oh wah....looks like a weird powerful flash of lightning mixed up with fireworks lol.....good work Sam!

Posted by DavidFF at April 12, 2005 03:10 AM

This is very cool. What I like best is the amazing clouds in the backround.

Posted by Alex at April 12, 2005 04:09 AM

awesome

Interesting shot; it gives me the creeps a little because it reminds me of a horror novel I just read called "A Small Dark Place" which features some questionable thin white roots deep underground.

Posted by sherry at April 12, 2005 08:01 AM

for some reason, i think the original looks better! the background and the darkness of the tree... not to say that the 'white tree' one ain't nice!

Posted by jonny taise at April 12, 2005 08:05 AM

Wow. I love it! :)

Posted by emilydk at April 12, 2005 08:55 AM

Love this - looks like it should be a photogram, but it isn't. Wonderful abstract image!

Posted by Ian at April 12, 2005 09:40 AM

both images are beautiful..either way you put them, they are marvelous!!!

Posted by still[frames] at April 12, 2005 09:45 AM

i like the original version better, though this one is nice too!

Posted by eden at April 12, 2005 11:15 AM

i like more original too :)

white on this shot is too strong...

Posted by getpixed at April 12, 2005 11:21 AM

Very cool. I like that the inverted sky still looks natural.

Posted by Russ at April 12, 2005 11:28 AM

I thought winter and the snow had returned to Toronto with this picture!!

Posted by Derek Hart at April 12, 2005 12:47 PM

It would go well with the "hounted house" picture of couple days ago.
I like the sharp, crips whiteness of the branches.

Posted by Kat at April 12, 2005 01:09 PM

Woooow..! wat a Clouds & Branches..Keuul!!

Posted by Umakanth at April 12, 2005 01:13 PM

After seeing 'Sin City', I'd have to say that this has a distinct Frank Miller feel about it. Very cool.

Posted by McKendall at April 12, 2005 03:27 PM

Cool cool cool!
I was kinda hoping you were experimenting with infrared photography ;)

Posted by Jasper at April 12, 2005 04:47 PM

I actually like the original version more.
This image looks to manipulated in my opinion.

Posted by Jay at April 12, 2005 05:36 PM

Is this the first shot you've posted from the Rebel XT?

Interested to hear what you think about the camera.

Posted by Alex at April 12, 2005 05:37 PM

not sure why but something about this shot reminds me of a still from a Japanese film

Posted by BigA at April 12, 2005 06:23 PM

hah jon clark gives you a whole "it was a dark and eerie night" story.

very cool!

Posted by Hugh at April 12, 2005 09:05 PM

I like the positive neutral version better.

Posted by Ayan at April 12, 2005 09:28 PM

I like the original version more. ;)

I got a Nikon D70 btw. The XT crapped out while i was testing it and I heard a lot of negative comments about it from Henry's so I turned to the D70.

Consistency it killing the creativity here. time to try something totally unexpected and new?

Posted by behrouz at April 12, 2005 10:58 PM

this is beautiful, the original has more impact though. beautiful nonetheless..

Posted by bebski at April 13, 2005 06:40 AM

like others, I like more the original one.

why do en redo after? why not just create once?

Posted by SACHA at April 13, 2005 04:02 PM

Both pics are cool - great effect!

Posted by Abe Savona at April 14, 2005 12:12 AM

Oh wow, I stand amazed. This picture is incredible. As if the original wasn't gorgeous enough, you creatively and artistically rotated and inverted it to present it in a whole new dimension. Bravo! You are so inspiring. Thank you Sam!

Posted by Melissa at April 14, 2005 03:35 AM

Gud but your motive can't be through, too simple.
