Beautiful panning. I'm gonna have to try your magic number !

Are there any cameras that can put the current focal length of a zoom lens into the EXIF data, as opposed to just the max and min (e.g. 18-55)?

Posted by jonas at April 6, 2005 03:28 AM

I really like that top one.

You did a good job shooting those handheld!

You Canucks are crazy with no helmet - hope these guys have a lucky number too.

Like your lucky 13 idea. Have to give it more practice, 'cause mine never turn out like that.

Your pictures are top-notch! Love them.

Around university I've been dodging rollerbladers all day--unfortunately, I don't have anything to move around on except my feet. Remember to look before you cross the street, kids!

The first one is very nice 'caus his face is sharp and his clothing as well, but he's still movin'
The second is also brilliant, not as sharp as the first, but i think your attention was the nice colour?
All my pictures i took this way are crap, perhaps i will get better with your lucky number ;)

Nice pans... I always wonderd what's the best speed, and you answered me, thanks. Also, do you hold the camera at your eyes while panning or at lower? because you don't see anythin in the viewfinder when you are shooting.

Congrats on the bloggies awards! I check your site every morning to see what's new for the day.

These are really neat pictures! One question - don't people in Toronto believe in bike helmets?

wow! those are incredible panning shots!! you rule.

remember your shaking cops on their horses? i guess this is the technique it was lacking then causing those few negative feedback comments; though no shake-panning technique would save the poor officers!
well done.
and please make sure no BMW is around this time you go biking ;)

I searched your site for panned images. Among all the images, I would say todays first pic and the Beetle (July 15, 2003) are the best. Terrific!

Nice pics. And to answer the questions, yes some of us use bike helmets in Toronto. Just not the fellows in these pics...

The first one is well done. I like the little Canadian flag on his CCM bike.

looks like a faster version of my "urban worker" .. I guess we are more mellow in MTL ;)

Posted by marie at April 7, 2005 09:46 AM

I have heard of these new fangled Light-speed bicycles. Alittle too dangerous for me. Can't believe someone wouldn't wear a helmet when making the jump to hyperspace...
