Comments: blue (or yellow) bike in snow

The juxtaposition between the decrepid bike and the one across the road was well spotted. Well done.

Love the juxtaposition of another bike. Keep up the good work!

This shot is incredible -- the foreground is so amazingly fascinating to look at, but there's something about the cyclist going in the other direction across the street that makes my eye swirl all over this shot. Absolutely brilliant.

What a fun bike! Looks like it hasn't been used in a while...can't believe there are still places with snow (i'm in austin, tx)

I like this shot, the colours are nice and saturated and the amount of snow is amazing, we never getr anything like that in Liverpool (England)

You need to get a new bike :-}

I hope he keeps his chain greased and oiled! :) ... I like that there's another bicycle in the background... in motion. Nice pic.

I like the Canon product placement Sam! The motion here is great. I'm really drawn to that guy's red shirt.

Cool, gritty pic. Great colors!

I like that you managed to catch the cyclist in the shot. But I think the shot would have been much better if the car weren't in it. I suppose you can't predict what's going to happen with spur-of-the-moment shots like these. :P

For those who think that's a lot of snow -- the snowfall was a week ago and it has rained since then, and that's what's *left*. Downtown Camera is in the background, probably the best mainstream camera store in Toronto...

Posted by Jordan at March 9, 2005 02:10 PM

Hehe ... Downtown Camera! Way to go Sam... please tell me you had a chance to stop in there and pick up something!

Looks like that bike got involved in a serious paintball fight! Nice capture Sam.

Posted by mike b at March 9, 2005 05:38 PM

Nice shot. Without the cyclist in the background, it wouldn't be as nice.... I liked your yesterday shot too.

Posted by Reza at March 9, 2005 06:23 PM

It looks like this person decided to take his bike paintballing with him. It looks like he wasnt very good at it too, because it looks like he got hit a lot.

Nice photo. The colours of the bike match the colours of the camera store and the clothes of the bike rider.

It is a great comparison between bikes. It is well balanced too.

It looks like if you wait a little bit longer, that bike chain will rust through completely and that bike can be yours for free.

Reminds me of my first mountain bike. 40lbs of pure steel.

~a sure sign that spring is on its way (finally), even with the snow inching its way up to the handle bars~

I notice that you did not make it far from exiting the camera shot before finding something to shoot - way to go!!
