Wow, I love this photo! I am going to have to make it my new wallpaper for sure. I love your work and thought you should know it is a joy to log on and check out what you've posted each day.
I just want to say that the moment I saw this picture and before I read the title, I totally thought in my head, "Three Figures." Then I looked at the title and there it is! I've been visiting your photoblog for about two months (or maybe more) and this is my first comment. I love a lot of your pictures, like the compositions and colors and everything. Very nice. I love photography but I'm not that good at it, but I like looking at other people's work at envy them. I also love the way you title your pictures, like that one just two days ago of a dogwalker in orange when it's just a tiny speck in the picture. I love that, because it's precisely what I would do. Great work and keep them coming. :)

Posted by Abe Savona at March 7, 2005 01:59 AMawesome composition !!!!!
Posted by mot at March 7, 2005 04:13 AMMy... did you really do it by handheld? That's really amazing in 1/5s!
Posted by Handrij Oten at March 7, 2005 04:34 AMGreat Composition, I love the way all the figures interact, very nice work.
Posted by Margie at March 7, 2005 10:19 AMLove this photo, thanks.
Nice to see a cleaner as the centre of attention, often they are ignored to the point of invisibilty.
I really enjoy your work and the vibrant colours. Great shots. As I grew up in Toronto it is a real pleasure to see the old stomping grounds. Keep up the good work.
Posted by -steve- at March 7, 2005 12:43 PMYou do some awesome stuff, but these last few aren't up to snuff, you can do so much better than these , , , snapshots :(
Posted by dani at March 7, 2005 03:19 PMI've followed your site for a while and believe this is my favorite of yours so far. I love the warm glow on the bricks, despite the piles of snow. And the framing of the figures is terrific.
Posted by Robert at March 7, 2005 03:32 PMit almost looks like a painting...
Posted by nicolas at March 7, 2005 05:43 PMI really like this picture, its got a nice feel to it
Posted by James Bond at March 7, 2005 08:24 PMThis picure is really unique because of the lighting. Not only that but because sam is pain in the ass and i think this is a really good picture becuase of that and not only that i really like that guy in the window! He looks like a model!!
Posted by Paul Jaworski at March 7, 2005 08:26 PMOK, photography appreciation question:
Do the mounds of grey Toronto snow add or detract from the photo? Would this be better done on a summer night?
Posted by J0hnnyB at March 7, 2005 08:42 PMwhat was that again, Paul Jaworski???
Posted by david macdonald at March 7, 2005 09:03 PM1/5 sec!!! The cold weather must have locked up your elbows!
Posted by Maran at March 7, 2005 09:45 PMthis is lovely - one of your best i think. i wonder if anyone else agrees?
Posted by will at March 8, 2005 12:09 AMThis has a Cartier-Bresson-like 'decisive moment' quality to it. The movement of the cleaner's broom and of the dark person on the right are perfectly timed.
Posted by ned at March 8, 2005 07:16 AMAn interesting symmetry here!
Posted by Nick at March 11, 2005 11:16 AM"ITCH" is the last word on the right, reinforcing the mood of anticipation that the elements of this composition suggest to me--good fun!
