Sam, wow, you do have an eye for pattern, color, contrast, and subject matter. Each time I see a new picture here I learn and I am forever thankful that you are sharing your work, not just for others to see but to learn from.

Thanks.

I like this a lot. Great colors. Very simple and rich at the same time. The dof is a quite nice.

Lots of great textures in this shot, which I could see more of the bike though.

Sam, I like it how you can capture the essence of a scene.
This one reminds me of the rusty railings around the terrace of my old house. It needed to be cleaned with a steel brush in preparation of painting.

Woah! The pic is awesome, but what instantly caught my eye was rust-sidewalled old-school IRC tire. Nice. :)

Makes me want to dust off my bike and go for a ride.

Wow. These colors are beautiful, and I love the angle/perspective. I feel like I'm sitting on the step. I really like this one! :)

Sam, as always I have to say you got the colors right once again. I asked you this a few times back, but you were probably too busy...would you mind sharing with us what your 'post' photo process you usually follow? As you once said, taking a photo of something is only a part of photography; the rest is all in manipulating it (well, that wasn’t your exact words, but I some how remember this)

That Bike looks like its been through hell and back. However used it really took it for some long mileage. I like the crispness of the yellow and the wheels way of jumping forward in the photo. However, this subject matter just doesn't do it for me. I'm just not intregued by it enough to want to look at it very long. I guess im one of those people who likes shinny new things better than old broken down things... personal opinion nothing more than that. The photo was well executed as always.

As for people asking about post processing of sams photos ... look a few days back at.. http://wvs.topleftpixel.com/archives/photos_landscape/050221_1045.shtml
Sam already posted a tutorial link underneith the photo.

Really like the red in the details, great angle too...

Very impressive! I like it - the two contrasting colors of two objects so worn yet very complimenting of each other.

Love it!

I was just telling some of my colleages about the use of tripods and I saw your photograph. They immediately became believers. Great picture. I hope you used a tripod; if you didn't, kudos to you.

this is one of my favorites! i love the colors (whoever painted brick that bright was brave) and the angle is spectacular!
