Absolutely peaceful and stunning. One of my favorites so far. Thank you for your talent.
Posted by Adam Polselli at February 8, 2005 01:08 AMGreat shot. abolutely stunning and beautiful. Love the contrast of dark and light. great photo.
The foot prints are a testomony to the resolve of Torontonians that dispite weather bellow - 10 degrees still find a way to go out and spend time in the beautiful parks there.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful view.
Posted by scott at February 8, 2005 01:12 AMAbsolutely amazing.
Posted by Abe at February 8, 2005 01:39 AMWhere are the dog-walkers?
Lovely shot on yet another slightly misty, unseasonably warm day - I feel rested just looking at it, and the bench is most inviting.
Trees have such beautiful silhouettes!
This is a fun contrast to yesterday's shot of the bike shop that is across from this park!
Posted by Kathy at February 8, 2005 01:54 AMBeautiful picture. Great framing and deep, deep focus. I can't tell whether it's b&w or color on a really grey day.
Posted by gauche at February 8, 2005 02:01 AMGenial foto y fantástica composición, realmente buena.
Posted by Angel at February 8, 2005 02:21 AMThis looks beautiful! Is it a monochrome? Or is the sun dazzling?
Everything looks so clear.
This reminded me of a poorer, but similar photo I took at a bird sanctuary:
Posted by Darren at February 8, 2005 03:37 AMI love trees in winter. So "pictureable"... =)
Posted by Jorge Lesmes at February 8, 2005 08:17 AMI like the way the black and white really gives the feel of Canada in mid-winter.
Also, this shot makes it look like you're the last person on earth. :)
Posted by sherry at February 8, 2005 09:08 AMI like the feeling of solitude and how there's only black and white in the scenery.
Posted by Paulo Ribeiro at February 8, 2005 09:22 AMBeautiful picture! I'm real busy at the mo but this just relaxes me
Rodster (The Netherlands)
Posted by Rodster at February 8, 2005 09:47 AMBeautiful. It makes me think; modern-day Ansel Adams photograph. Just the kind of peaceful, serene I need today.
Posted by Alyssa at February 8, 2005 10:02 AMthat's postcard material!! great shot. black trees are great
Posted by mariel at February 8, 2005 11:50 AMYes.. The idea is - staring in space and feeling like no city found around.
And only footsteps... Like a sea that is gone
just like you are!! there are lots of things to see in nothing around you .That is what i know about you as i remember! I loved it thanks
Posted by maryam at February 8, 2005 12:07 PMi'm from the desert and don't get to see "real winter"...thanks for providing it! and i agree...it's a nice nod to ansel adams
Posted by kmacw at February 8, 2005 12:08 PMGreat shot. The monochrome suits the scenery perfectly, it portrays the feeling of solitude.
Posted by chek at February 8, 2005 12:36 PMThis is amazing and real!!! For all of those who don't live in Toronto, do not think that this is the country side or an abandoned park in the middle of nowhere...This is just DT and we all walk our dogs there everyday.
Posted by Fer at February 8, 2005 01:02 PMPeacfull, someplace I want to be right now.
Posted by Mojoey at February 8, 2005 01:52 PMMakes winter not so bad after all.
Posted by Brenda at February 8, 2005 02:47 PMClassic. Reminds of old B&W 1950's photos of Paris.
Posted by qubik at February 8, 2005 06:34 PMNICE SHOOTIN!!! I look forward to the snow blanketing the landscape once again. I want to know if you work with DV at all? I'm a film maker always looking for a good eye to convey the images I create. I've got a couple of shorts on the go and plans for a feature. Let me know.
Damon
Posted by Damon` at February 8, 2005 06:43 PMwow, this is really cool, reminds me of the morton aboritum (sp?) in chicago durring winter, my school friends and I had a snowball fight at.
very nice, i agree with a previous comment, this is truely postcard material.

Posted by Arezou at February 8, 2005 08:32 PMnot a soul about, but you. great shot.
Posted by paul at February 8, 2005 09:07 PMI wasn't going to comment because I have a lack of words. Wow, the gray/black contrast is wonderful... this should be in your "gallery" if you ever have one.
Posted by Lorin Halpert at February 8, 2005 09:43 PMOh wow. This is a photograph that I wish I had taken -- definitely frame-worthy, I wouldn't be surprised if this ends up on an album cover (or magazine cover). . .
