I like this a lot, Sam! I like the depth of field (I think that means the blurry background but I really am not sure if DOF is the correct term - I'm just learning photography and related terms.) The very bright colors are also very cool - remarkable even. This pic is full of life; it's vibrant and energetic, yet serene. I would like to learn how to do this, so it's trian and error & practice. My new photo blog is finally up. For now, it's purely for learning. I've no illusions that I know what I am doing!

Posted by Tom at February 5, 2005 11:57 AMThis is a great shot. The bottle stands out so bold and crystal-clear against the background. I love the blurr of lights, and the movement of color that happens directly beyond the subject.
I have been viewing your site everyday for a while now. I appreciate how you put yourself and your photography out there every day. You have both inspired and intimidated me in my photography. :) Thanks!
I decided to comment on this picture because I really felt like I was standing there, on what appears to be a cold, busy street corner, and just phasing out like you do when you're staring at something and dont even realize it.

Posted by wookiee at February 7, 2005 11:48 AMCool photo, looks like it could be the last shot in a cherry coke ad, except for the bottle being only partially full. Nice site!
