Comments: distillery ice-skaters

Gorgeous. I love the green shutters against the brick.

heh, I thought you took two photos and I said to myself, it's incredible how the lines are aligned.

And then, you said you cropped it.=)

What a stunning blue sky!

I would rather have the top in focus than the bottom

I like the "breaking apart" of this image... it is a nice comment on and augmentation of the building's sections.

is this the "home depot" ice rink of an earlier post?

This one feels like you oversaturated it, though that's a matter of taste.

I often have problems with red brick, and maybe I'm seeing in this what I've often discarded. There's a fire escape near here that's got kind of a garnet color to it, and it's up against a red brick wall, and I haven't found the right time of day yet to turn it into a shot.

Perhaps this shot suffers from the same brilliant sunlight?

Isnt that from the Home Depot ice rink that you had a pic of earlier in the weeks?

2 for 1....great!

A good example of why you shouldn't use perspective correction in Photoshop to try and get rid of converging lines.

It is common to slice large images into smaller ones and seamlessly pack them together on the Web. There is no need to have a separation between the sections.

well, the upper photo is blurred (1) you're right, there are a lot of details, maybe technically the lower one is a good photo, but I really don't like the subject.

Unrelated to the photo, I just wanted to give Sam a location tip. On the Beaches, there are icebergs! Lots of photo opportunities, especially in the park to the far west of Kew Beach. This weekend ice looked awesome.

The photo's quality is decreasing day by day...

WONDERFUL

There's something about this photo (or, photos) that makes me a little uncomfortable...perhaps the brick in the brilliant sunlight? But that's what makes me find the photo unique as well. Didn't like having to scroll to see the ice skaters, but no way around that. :)

todays and yesterdays....ho humish at best...but again kudos to you for getting out there and doing it every day, and even more important for giving this site to all to enjoy, ponder, draw inspiration from as well as technical details, for free no less,.....its tough to be consistentlly "amazing" on a dailly basis, but you do pretty good, keep it up...and thanks for taking a considerablle amount of time on your part to make this happen ...

I like the cadence of the photo- lots of rhythm.

awesome presentation.

I love, love, love the way you have presented this. Very nice. Great colors. Love the geometry. Love the human element. Super-duper presentation.

It seems a little blurry at the top of the first picture, tho.

But very nice!

Your website is brilliant.

I love the crisp, clear photography of Toronto; and it's refreshing to see another city outside of NYC where I'm accustomed to.

You should be given an award. Keep up the good work, and I'm positive I'm not the only one that can appreciate your terrific pictures... both in the winter and other seasons.
