The photo might have some sort of implicit meaning but I must admit, this is not one of my favorites.

why did you lock yourself in there?

Posted by Henry at January 30, 2005 02:49 AM

I'm speechless. Just amazing!!!

Another expression of your elegant love of light. This shot is fun to "scroll-crop" by scrolling and selecting specific sections and looking at the imagine in a new place. really wonderful catch!

This looks !as always! awesome! Like the contrast of the dark and the light! Specially the few bright spots.

This looks almost like a scene in a movie by David Lynch…scaring, or just thrilling ! Very interesting, in any case. I like the
puddle particularly. You still surprise us, Sam !

I love the darkness of this pic.

You've inspired me to create my own blog! Though I dont have all the time in the world to take pictures every day, I made it a blog/photoblog so when I do have pics I'll post them up. =D

Posted by Raffi at January 30, 2005 10:44 AM

this is one of the most unique photos you've done in awhile. i love it.

Hello, Been watching ur site for a couple of weeks now. Although till now I've been very impressed (and even voted for ur site on the blooggies 2005) I have to say... this photo is very bad to say the least? Im no expert so I wouldnt be able to comment using the appropiate terms but it just doesnt "seem right". Oh well, looking foward to tommorow's pic.

uuu.. this is some serious hardcore, man. winter depression, huh? ;)

Posted by zimny at January 30, 2005 10:58 AM

Nice expression for use as a political poster. But I know you wouldn't mean it that way.

Posted by rene at January 30, 2005 12:00 PM

No, just no. Sam, you can do better than that... shouldn't have put up an update that day... I don't know if there was meaning behind it or what not but I don't see it. *thumbs down, way way down*

Everyone has their bad moment though, but I know you have talent so it's all alright.

I definitely like this one.
the simplicity is what's catches my eye.

That looks cold. The water spot is in the right place, composition is amazing, water, natural light and red light!!! perfect shot!, I can feel the cold in that place.

This is one that would never have left my computer. I might take a shot like this, but to share it is another thing. Does not do anything for me. I usually try to avoid EXIT signs in general.

Posted by sxott at January 30, 2005 10:25 PM

I like this. It's nice to see something different.

Posted by Brooks at January 30, 2005 11:17 PM

yea theres just something about this one. i mean i see where everyone is coming from. its two sided. i think i see what you're trying to do but it feels like you haven't quite gotten there.

it could be a great photo but it seems like something is preventing that. anyone agree? can anyone pinpoint the problem? i can't figure out why i don't like it.....

"Tell me what you're thinking!" meets "Guess what I'm saying!"--well done!

Nothere> I can only see some random splotches of white in the photo that I find kind of ruin the near perfection of the darkness and make the photo feel a bit sloppy.

Otherwise I like it. Interesting photo. Nice Idea.

This will teach you not to spend so much time late at night taking photos in old buildings. When you do that you get locked up inside when the security gaurd closes the building.

Posted by scott at January 31, 2005 07:49 PM

I just stole this for my desktop!

Posted by RONNYBOY at February 3, 2005 01:27 PM

haha... i laugh at henry.
yeah.

now IM asking.
Why DID you lock yourself in here?

Posted by Hugh at February 5, 2005 10:24 PM

you put me right in this space
but i am not uncomfortable here
maybe that's why it works for me
fear is a funny thing

Posted by neene at February 20, 2005 05:00 PM

This is not an exit.
