Comments: frozen pine

very cool shot of a pine tree (?). like the fact that you mention its in the distillery district. makes it looks at first like its some crazy machinery.

Hey Sam,

It's amasing seeing you taking macros in Canada in the middle of winter while I sit here in 30 degree heat in New Zealand photographing macro shots of a pohutukawa flowers (The New Zealand christmas tree :)

Keep up the great work,
Nigel

Hello, former Torontonian living in Cedar Grove, NJ checking out your wonderful pics, a friend in California (another Toronto native) sent me your address, I always miss home, lived on Greenwood Ave near Gerrard, my brother lives on Rhodes Ave, would like to see some photos of that area, thanks

I always love your macro work. You have a keen eye for representing very pediestrian things very abstractly.

Hi ddoi fans
It would be so cool if everyone who comments on this site would identify their country of origin.
We could see how universal Sam has become. It was great to hear from Nigel and Ken this morning. Nigel has +30 temps, and here in TO it's going down to -35 tonight. Cheers, Linda

you're all about the frozen pics this winter eh? why must there be so much snow in our lives? which begs the question - why can't the city of toronto plow??

nice pics!

These frozen leaves are amazing... especially when there is sun and the trees glow the view becomes just stunning.

Again, no snow in Australian cities, imagine how much less interesting life is without it if you can, also easier. What an eye for a macro.

Melb, Australia and +36C yesterday.
